About the speaker: Matt Kornatowski, DVM

Matt grew up in the small town of Boonville, NY, in the foothills of the Adirondack mountains.  He obtained a bachelor’s degree in Biology and a veterinary doctorate at Cornell University.  After graduating in 2008, Dr. Kornatowski moved south to Virginia for an internship at a multi-doctor equine referral practice.  During his extended internship, he was responsible for the primary care of in-hospital medicine and surgery cases, emergency medicine and critical care, in addition to ambulatory services.   Dr. Kornatowski developed his interests in ophthalmology, dentistry and emergency medicine.  Additionally, he gained significant experience in surgery and critical care.  He then worked as a racetrack veterinarian in Western NY before deciding to go into practice for himself.  In his spare time Dr. Kornatowski can be found on the soccer field, hiking or behind his camera lens.
