You are invited to a CT State Animal Response Team (CTSART) Training Program
The program consists of Two Modules to be taught the same day to allow all CERT volunteers to be cross trained to be CTSART volunteers. Trainees must be CERT certified.
- CTSART is a volunteer program organized to help prepare our state for any disasters involving animals.
- Our goal is to facilitate a prompt, effective response to emergencies involving animals.
- CTSART missions include public education, deployment of co-located companion animal evacuation shelters, building volunteer networks trained and state certified to assist with animals in need in disasters,
- Upon completion of the two modules, volunteers will be sworn in to be certified to respond to animals in disaster. Volunteers will work as a team, under the auspices of a CTSART Regional Leader.
Trainer: Sheldon Yessenow DVM, Region 1 Team Leader
Co-Trainer: Donna Cobelli DVM, Region 5 Team Leader
Coffee, Tea, and snacks will be provided. Trainees are welcome to bring a bag lunch and beverage to enjoy during the training
