Join Dr. Jane Lewis, Connecticut State Veterinarian, for a webinar focused on rabies. Dr. Lewis will provide a global and national overview of rabies incidence, discuss the nature of the disease and share why vaccination is so important for pets.
Jane Lewis received her BA from Williams College and DVM from Cornell University. She is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Preventative Medicine (DACVPM) is currently a Master’s candidate for her M.S. in Food Safety from Michigan State University. Dr. Lewis has worked as a veterinarian for large (predominantly dairy) and companion animals. She was an Associate Professor in Veterinary Technology at Northwestern CT Community College and a Supervisory Veterinary Medical Officer with USDA.
The Connecticut Veterinary Medical Foundation (CVMF) is the charitable and service arm of the veterinary community of Connecticut, the Connecticut Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA). CVMF was created to support education, scholarship and service programs that improve animal health, and public health, in Connecticut. The leadership of CVMA veterinarians makes CVMF unique, facilitating a scientific approach to animal issues and identifying and implementing solutions with the broadest possible impact. CVMF exists to make Connecticut a better place for animals and people. Our vision is to be a safety net for Connecticut’s domestic animals.
