Join Dr. Jane Lewis, Connecticut State Veterinarian, for a webinar focused on rabies.  Dr. Lewis will provide a global and national overview of rabies incidence, discuss the nature of the disease and share why vaccination is so important for pets.

Dr. Lewis is currently the State Veterinarian for the Connecticut Department of Agriculture. She holds a BA from Williams College in Williamstown, MA and earned her DVM from the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. She also earned a Master of Science in Food Safety from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2022 and is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Preventive Medicine. Prior to joining CT DoAg, Dr. Lewis served as a Veterinarian 2 with the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets as well as a Supervisory Veterinary Medical Officer with USDA. Dr. Lewis has also worked in private practice for most of her career, tending to both large and small animal species, and in higher education teaching Veterinary Technology. She enjoys spending her free time with her family and pets.
